How
long have you been a paralegal? 20+ years, yikes!
What
firm do you currently work for? What practice areas do you concentrate in? I am a Senior
Paralegal for Business Matters at MendenFreiman
llp, an Atlanta firm serving closely held businesses, owners and
affluent families.
What
do you most enjoy about being a paralegal? The
relationships that are formed with clients.
What
do you find to be most challenging? Constant
interruptions.
What
skills are most important for a paralegal? Organization,
diligence, flexibility and follow-through.
Any
tips on job retention for a paralegal working in this trying economy? Be
efficient, effective and exact.
Finally,
tell us what you enjoy doing in your free time? I
am actively involved in leadership in the Junior League of Atlanta (and
formerly in San Diego), a women’s volunteer organization that has been
positively impacting the Atlanta community for almost 100 years. I also
volunteer at Zoo Atlanta (where I hope to become a docent), and support the
Atlanta History Center, Atlanta Botanical Gardens and the Atlanta Ballet. I am
constantly amazed by the incredible people, history and culture that abound in
Atlanta!
